A fruitful conversation about ideas and opportunities followed, and the seed for the Lake Nona Performance Center was planted. As legal counsel to Signet, BMD represented the joint venture with Signet for the Lake Nona Performance Center agreement, assisting with overall structure, tax planning and financing. BMD’s legal team includes co-manager Lee Walko and M&A lawyer Kevin Saunders, as well as finance and real estate member Jason Butterworth and Commercial Real Estate, M&A and corporate lawyer Nick Karam who represent Integrated Wellness Partners, an operational healthcare management solution.
Superior knowledge of transactions. An important project in many ways, BMD was the leader in securing the deal for the number one, in terms of complexity and size, the nation’s largest health and wellness facility – in the one of the healthiest and fastest growing communities in America. BMD’s knowledge of niche markets and expertise in the healthcare sector have made the company ideally suited to manage an unprecedented project involving exceptionally sophisticated investors, partners and clientele. Additionally, BMD’s experience enabled them to successfully overcome the challenges presented by a pandemic and was able to maintain the facility’s inauguration date of March 31, 2020.
The buzzing. Much more than a high-end fitness center, the Lake Nona Performance Center is also home to a collective of physicians, experts, rehabilitation specialists and counselors. The buzz in the medical and wellness community is palpable, and medical groups across the country are reaching out to BMD and its project partners for insight into the planning and completion of this unique wellness facility in his genre. An adjoining building for medical practices (a non-BMD project) should be inaugurated this fall.
