Applications open for the banking innovation awards of Efma and Accenture | Business

PARIS, NEW YORK AND HONG KONG – (BUSINESS WIRE) – May 17, 2021 –

Efma and Accenture (NYSE: ACN) launched the eighth annual Banking Innovation Award. The global competition rewards the best new ideas and innovative practices that are transforming the banking industry today. Banks can submit entries until September 24, at the following address: innovationinbanking.efma.com.

the Efma-Accenture Banking Innovation Award invite banks around the world to submit their most innovative projects that demonstrate how they are using the latest technologies to transform the industry in the aftermath of COVID-19 in the following seven categories:

  1. Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) – innovations that use large-scale data, analytics and AI to improve the bank’s offerings, experiences and operations.
  2. Digital Marketing and Sales – new ways to transform the way banks can better understand customers, position offers, generate leads and communicate with customers.
  3. Future workforce – changes in the way employees work, the overall workforce and the employee experience.
  4. Neobanks and specialized players – innovations from banking startups, digital spin-offs and technology companies working in the banking sector.
  5. Offer innovation – revolutionary concepts that significantly improve or transform the products or functions that generate income for banks.
  6. Reinventing the customer experience – rethink the banks’ distribution channels and the management of communication, engagement and customer relations.
  7. Social, sustainable and responsible bank – advances in the social vocation and the bank’s commitment to be a good corporate citizen and a true ally of its customers.

Furthermore “Global innovator” will be selected for the participant who demonstrates a corporate vision that is committed to continuous innovation and transformation, the development and leadership of a broad ecosystem of partners going beyond banking, and the use of technologies emerging to improve customer experience and sales performance. The winners will be honored at a dedicated awards ceremony on November 18.

Each entry will be evaluated according to three criteria: originality; impact – the strategic ability of an innovation to generate long-term competitive advantage and return on investment; and universality – its adaptability for use in other markets and countries.

Winners will be selected through a combination of votes by a 30-member jury comprising banking executives from around the world and online voting by members of EFMA and non-members of financial institutions.
